Accessibility statement
Last updated: 17 June 2026
We want this website to work for everyone, including disabled people and people using assistive technology. Therapyway is a private company, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us. We take accessibility seriously anyway: under the Equality Act 2010 we aim to make reasonable adjustments so nobody is shut out, and we use the international WCAG standard as our benchmark. This statement explains what we aim for, what should work today, where we know we fall short, and how to tell us when something does not work.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at Level A and Level AA. That is the standard the UK government, and most accessibility professionals, use to judge whether a website is usable by disabled people. We do not claim to meet every point perfectly yet, and we keep working at it.
What you should be able to do
On this website you should be able to:
- Zoom in to 200% without losing content or breaking the layout.
- Move through the whole site with a keyboard, with a clear outline showing where you are.
- Use it with a screen reader, with headings, labels, and links that make sense out of context.
- Read text comfortably, with colour contrast that meets the AA standard.
- Follow everything without relying on colour alone, with motion reduced if your device asks for it.
What this statement covers
This statement covers the Therapyway marketing website at therapyway.co.uk. Signing in, searching for a therapist, and booking happen in our separate product app on another address. We are building that app to the same standard, but it is covered separately rather than here.
Where we know we fall short
We test the site ourselves and fix issues as we find them, but we have not had an independent audit yet, so there may be problems we have missed. If you run into one, we would genuinely like to hear about it so we can put it right.
How we test
We check the site with a keyboard, with a screen reader, and with automated and manual colour-contrast checks, and we re-check when we change things. We review this statement and our testing roughly once a year, or sooner when we make a significant change.
If something does not work
If you find part of the site you cannot use, or you need information in a different format such as large print, plain text, or an accessible document, email us and tell us what you need. We aim to reply within five working days. If you are not happy with how we respond to an accessibility problem, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) offers free, independent advice on disability and discrimination.
